Went in expecting not to like It and left surprised that I was mildly amused by it. I think a lot of people expect this movie to be offensive or political skewed, but it honestly plays on both stereotypes enough that both sides of the spectrum are plagued with insanity and idiocy. There’s lots of gnarly Blumhouse practical effects gore and for that I think this movie has merit for representing that aspect of the industry. Overall, it’s a movie that you can tell everyone had a blast making, and that’s infectious until it starts trying to be a movie.
