This was Netflix’s compelling docuseries before that other one about…slightly bigger cats kind of blew up. This docuseries is a hard sell because it shows animal murder leaving little to the imagination. However, if you can get past the undeniably sickening photos shown this one is actually really neat. It recounts the efforts of a Facebook group that gets alerted to an obscure video of kitty abuse and the virtual manhunt they go on. Seeing the internet detectives at work has always fascinated me and seeing just how far they can get with little information but too much time on their hands. I found the case to be quite fascinating and the doc presents it well. They try to pull a kind of stupid Roko’s Basilisk type argument and I don’t think it feeds you the best takeaway or ending message but overall, I did learn to never F*** With Cats.
