Before we start, I have a big, important announcement to make. I’m not always the best at choosing the right words so hopefully I make this clear. I just want to make sure you all know that…
Today is April Fool’s!
Sorry, but I do enjoy some of the hi-jinks that come with today but am always disappointed I can never think of anything all that clever to do myself. So now that that’s out of my system you can be at ease knowing that there’s nothing up my sleeve (nothing too sharp at least). So, trust me when I say you won’t have to worry about joy buzzers, or whoopie cushions, or me secretly being Irina’s evil twin taking over while she’s out at the movies!
At the movies….at the movies…. At the Movies… I’m not very subtle am I. Hopefully you understand what’s going on now?
So… some people might have been confused by my post earlier today on Survive Style 5+, makes sense it’s a very odd movie. But the strangest part for some might have been the way it ended with the reveal that it wasn’t a review by me [K at the Movies] but a mysterious I?
Here I’m coming forward to reveal that today me and the wonderful, incredible, talented writer that is Ms. Irina from I Drink and Watch Anime decided to pull what I called a “Freaky Friday”.
So when you read today’s post on Survive Style 5+ that was written by the wonderful drunk anime girl. I’ve never seen it, but I agreed with her assessment and argument. It seems like a delightfully weird film.
As for me, I got the privilege to share my thoughts on Blue Spring Ride a romance anime over on her blog… while also doing my best Irina impression (Irina said that my lack of typos and stringent logic would give it away….personally I think it’s the fact I only mentioned Natsume once would be what gave it away).
I implore you if you haven’t already please check out both of them if you haven’t already. I have the upmost respect and admiration for Irina and this just further cemented that by getting to try to make one of her posts which isn’t easy. I don’t know how she can come up with these creative drinking games, or talk to her billions of readers so casually.
I had a ton of fun with this, and from my understanding she did as well. I’ve always wanted to pull something unexpected for a laugh and Irina was the perfect partner in crime to pull it off.
Go follow her blog: I Drink and Watch Anime
Feel free to let me know if we confused you at all? Maybe I’ll have to commit identity theft next year so let me know who I should swap places with next time?
Thanks for reading, hopefully that cleared things up, and if you ever need a drink… I don’t do that so go over and check out Irina’s stuff and I’ll be here to welcome you back… here at the movies!
